Tonbandmusik

The machine, created by Kathrin Stumreich in Vienna, plays multiple loops of fabric. Light sensors are used to generate the sounds and the quality and density of the cloth determine the pitch and the rhythm of the sound. So for example, the number of threads interrupting the light per second determine the pitch of the sound.

KEINE-MUSIK

David schreibt:

KEINE-MUSIK: Ohrstücke / earpieces I wrote literally into the journal RTRSRCH. It contains several pieces and instructions for ears. Opening, closing, directing the listening, etc. I will upload the score here as pdf a month after the launching of the journal.

„This compositions are for the reader. The reader is the listener is the performer, without anybody or anything in between the score and the ear. The pieces are also performable on the spot, wherever you are right now.

All you need are two (more or less working) ears and two hands. The notation tries to be readable without a musical education. Reading the explanation of signs and intuition should be enough.“

Alles weitere dazu hier:

The Dubai in me

Danke, Christian! Man beachte auch den Credit: „No rights reserved“.
