With LivePortrait you can just perform what you want the character on the screen to do. This clip is using cc0 footage from Pexels, but you can do this with all the AnimateDiff / Gen3 / Luma / Pika etc clips you've already made as well! pic.twitter.com/y2fLoC5183

The past years have offered an overabundant archive of sighing — I noticed it in myself, how often the micro-lament slipped out of me. Push notifications of the soul. At least it’s an interesting sound, one that comes in numerous sonic and semantic variations: the deep sigh, the sigh of relief, the stifled sigh, the passive-aggressive sigh, the audible eye-roll as a forequake of a rage explosion, the thinking sigh, the nocturnal existential sigh, a small uprising…; sigh, ugh, groan — from comic book speech into chat culture.
Every sigh tells its own story.
I’ve created libraries of sighs, sighed together my material, sighed it into being, expressed it, and printed it (in 3D), drawn and painted its waveform, and finally preserved it in exhibition format.
Since the pandemic, I’ve been working with the sound wave as an aesthetic object — a form of sonic existence poised between physical objectivity and expressive seismograph. Within it lies the imperative of scientific rigor (Follow the Science!), something that must be upheld in a world full of irrationality — which, in artwork, inevitably takes on its affective accent. A trembling between data and drama. This project is grounded in that duality.
In the city, posters hang that proclaim discontent with blunt irony, on the pavement one walks a parcours of oscillographic asphalt, sigh sculptures — sigh-objects — rest cold in the exhibition space, while a death metal singer professionally rehearses the art of soul-vomiting. A sigh machine takes over the task, a pondering machine stirs through coarse and fine thoughts, sigh poems adorn the apse of the museum wall, and the growler breaks sighs down into their atomic components — a vowel surgeon operating on the open heart of despair.
And finally, everyone is invited to give a truly good sigh.
