Kürzlich überraschte mich Post aus Kiel – die Designstudentin Charlotte Gosch hat eine Schallplattenhülle für eine (mögliche) Plattenpressung meines Stückes Fremdarbeit gestaltet. Hätte man mich gefragt, welche Farbe zu dem Stück passt, hätte ich gelb gesagt. Und genau in gelb wäre die von Charlotte angedachte Platte. Fühle mich geehrt und verstanden!
Johannes Kreidler is a composer of »Concept Music«. This project shows an attempt on approaching his piece »Fremdarbeit«. The one side of the record cover shows a graphic translation whereas the back side textualizes the presentation of the piece performed by a berlin ensemble. The information given in the presentation is an indispenable part of the piece and therefore also a part of the record cover. The yellow record is placed in between of this information. A hole is cut into the yellow slipcase to show a fragment of the graphic as well as the description of the music expressed in percent. The folding allows variable front and backsides.
