Doku über den Klanginstallationskünstler Walter Giers
Ein schöner Beitrag, gedreht in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
Few people could make circuits into art quite like Walter Giers. He made them into visual objects, into aesthetic and design statements, into loud and even “annoying” performative constructions, into instruments. They aren’t simply utilitarian means to an end, but imaginative medium.

Mechanische Vogelstimmenmaschine von 1890
Was sich wie echte Vogelstimmen elektronisch anhört, sind tatsächlich kleine Pfeifen mit einem Balg.
Very cute little vintage mechanical singing bird mechanism.Made in the 1890’s in Paris, probably by Bontems. The mechanism was in a rusted and seized state and has been restored. Surprisingly even the bellows are in good original condition.
