solche Abrollkurven haben wir in der Lehre vor 60 Jahren am Reißbrett konstruiert. Das war wichtig um passende Zahnradflanken in Uhrwerken z.B. herzustellen. Die Anfangs-Aufgabe hieß: zeichne den Weg des Fahrradventils bei einer Umdrehung des Reifens.

Eric Dress hat’s getan.
The world is teetering on the verge of a pandemic. Whilst this is concerning, the mortality rate is relatively low, so whatever happens, this one won’t be ‘the big one’ (we’re too busy killing off all other life first). In some ways the societal response to the virus is more interesting than the virus itself. Stock-market’s crashing, whole towns going into quarantine.
Today the NIH released the DNA sequence of Covid-19, so I decided to convert it into musical notes and hear what it sounds like.
