Früheste mehrstimmige Musik

Polyphonic music has two or more melodic lines running at the same time, and the earliest known written example is a short piece in praise of Saint Boniface, composed around the year 900. Giovanni Varelli found it in 2014, when he was a PhD student at St John’s College, Cambridge. He is now an associate professor of musicology at the University of Pavia.

Klavierstück 5, gespielt von Amalia Castoldi

Ein altes Stück, aber ich darf es einen Klassiker nennen, wieder gespielt von der italienischen Pianistin Amalia Castoldi, sehr schön.

Finished: the first three pieces for the "Free Clock"; untimely meditations (Unzeitgemäße Betrachtungen).
Despite the simple principle of individually controlling the three clock hands, the dial feels like a chessboard with many hidden corners, leading to complex pieces.
