\nTruck No. 1 will be playing \u201cBrettl-Lieder,\u201d composed in 1901, a young Schoenberg\u2019s foray into cabaret songs that foreshadowed his later compositions.<\/p>\n

Truck No. 2 will play \u201cGurre-Lieder,\u201d a piece composed from 1901 to 1911 and the first that garnered Schoenberg wide recognition. It tells the medieval legend of the Danish king Waldemar and his mistress, murdered by Waldemar\u2019s queen.<\/p>\n

Truck No. 3 will broadcast \u201cErwartung, Opus 17,\u201d a 30-minute opera for single soprano with orchestra.<\/p>\n

Truck No. 4\u2019s composition, \u201cWind Quintet, Opus 26,\u201d dates to 1924 and is an early example of his 12-tone method.<\/p>\n

And Truck No. 5 will waft \u201cPhantasy for Violin and Piano, Opus 47,\u201d written in 1949, which represents his mastery of the ambiguity of form and the asymmetry of phrasing.<\/p>\n

The trucks, which will operate during daylight business hours, will play music anywhere on campus that has no amplified music restrictions.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
