{"id":15021,"date":"2015-03-28T10:13:04","date_gmt":"2015-03-28T08:13:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kulturtechno.de\/?p=15021"},"modified":"2015-03-28T12:02:01","modified_gmt":"2015-03-28T10:02:01","slug":"die-gegenkonferenz-von-harvard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.kulturtechno.de\/?p=15021","title":{"rendered":"Die Gegenkonferenz von Harvard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vor zwei Jahren fand in Harvard die Konferenz &#8222;<a href=\"http:\/\/hgnm.org\/other-events\/hgnm-conference-new-perspectives-on-new-music\/\">New Perspectives on New Music<\/a>&#8220; statt, bei der, zusammenfassend gesagt, Hannes Seidl die Diesseitigkeit, meiner einer den <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cUIzq52kuP4\">Neuen Konzeptualismus<\/a>, Harry Lehmann die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=IVvGV22hdpM\">Gehalts\u00e4sthetische Wende<\/a> und Michael Rebhahn seinen Vorschlag einer <a href=\"http:\/\/hgnm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Rebhahn-Lecture-Harvard.pdf\">Trennung von Klassischer und Neuer Musik<\/a> vorgestellt haben.<\/p>\n<p>Jetzt hat dort so etwas wie die >Gegenkonferenz< stattgefunden, in der Claus-Steffen Mahnkopf seine Entourage um sich geschart hat. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.classical-scene.com\/2015\/03\/06\/goethe-harvard-music\/\">Diesem Bericht<\/a> zufolge wurde also nach Kr\u00e4ften auf den Neuen Konzeptualismus eingedroschen.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nMore than two years in the making, the first part of the part of the conference (formally billed as \u201cNew Tendencies of Contemporary Music in Germany\u201d) took place in the spring of 2013 with composers Johannes Kreidler and Hannes Seidl; musicologist Michael Rebhahn; and music philosopher Harry Lehmann invited from Germany to present their work. Of differing artistic and philosophical projects, the four are frequently understood, controversially, as advancing different types of musical postmodernism in historically modernist parts of the German contemporary music scene.<br \/>\nThis past weekend saw the opposite, with composers Kai Johannes Polzhofer, D\u00e1niel P\u00e9ter B\u00edro and Claus-Steffen Mahnkopf; sociologist Ferdinand Zehentreiter; and philosopher Gunnar Hindrichs invited to elaborate an opposing point of view.<br \/>\n[&#8230;]<br \/>\nHarvard PhD candidate and German-Austrian composer Kai Johannes Polzhofer followed B\u00edro\u2019s presentation with an expansive lecture entitled \u201cMusic Without Content and Some Other Recent Confusions.\u201d Deeply critical of the underpinnings of German New Conceptualism, Polzhofer\u2019s polemics took aim at political music in Germany that Polzhofer analyzed as qualified to call itself neither politics nor music. Identifying a pattern of careerism in the composers and theorists of the New Conceptualism, Polzhofer argued instead for a radically humanized approach to composition that Polzhofer would position as the foundation of a truly political music able to change the individual and society.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Das h\u00f6rt sich ganz nach einer Wiederauflage der <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kulturtechno.de\/?p=14331\">Diskussion von Darmstadt<\/a> letztes Jahr an, mit dem Unterschied, dass man die andere Seite jetzt drau\u00dfen lie\u00df und lieber in Abwesenheit verurteilte.
