Sample-Moiré

Joseph Prein lässt ein bekanntes 80er-Jahre-Sample als Loop in drei unterschiedlichen Geschwindigkeiten – 99.9%, 100% und 100.1% – für 70 Minuten auseinander und ineinander driften. Es grüßt natürlich Steve Reich.

These and the points of binary symmetry at 13:53 and 28:08 are a nice allusion to “Pendulum Music.” And I looove the distribution at 38:15-38:30, as the triplets layer up.“
